We forward the common letter formats to the scan center, where they can be read by Swiss Post using the «Format Auto» automated capture system. If a letter is not recognised (for example due to illegibility, an incorrect address, etc.), Swiss Post delivers it physically. Swiss Post continues to deliver parcels physically.
In the following cases, we do not forward the items:
- Ballot papers
- Money, cheques (bank/post, lunch, Reka) and voucher cards (Kunsthof)
- Tickets and admission tickets (train, concert tickets, etc.)
- Letters with a concealed PIN code (bank/post)
- Bank and post credit cards
- ID cards and passports
- SIM cards (mobile phone)
- Hardware (electronic devices, USB cables, CDs, etc.)
- Undeliverable correspondence or returns
