What's new with SmartSend, how do I activate it and what are the benefits?

ePost SmartSend introduces new dispatch options for sending letters both digitally and physically. The key new features at a glance:

  • Legally compliant digital delivery: You can now also deliver items digitally via A Mail Plus and, soon, Registered mail, including a qualified timestamp, an electronic seal and proof of delivery.
  • Extended dispatch options: In addition to standard dispatch (A Mail, B Mail, bulk mailings), A Mail Plus and Registered mail are now available.
  • Full transparency through monitoring: You can view the dispatch status of all your items, including returns, in real time at any moment.
  • Maximum security: All data is processed in encrypted form in Swiss data centres, in compliance with the FADP and subject to postal secrecy.

How do I activate SmartSend?

Activate SmartSend in four steps

  1. Register: Sign up with ePost free of charge using your business email address at app.epost.ch.
  2. Verify address: Verify your company address to ensure correct postal delivery. To do this, click «Verify address» on the home page and you will receive a verification code by post.
  3. Activate SmartSend: Activate the SmartSend widget in the ePost Widget Store. To do this, click «Get widgets» at the top right of the home page.
  4. Start sending: Click «Open SmartSend» at the bottom of the home page. Upload your document as a PDF, choose the dispatch option and click «Send».

What does SmartSend cost and what are the benefits?

SmartSend has no subscription fees, no set-up fee and no minimum volume. You pay solely per item sent, from CHF 0.40 per document excl. VAT for digital delivery. The higher your digital delivery rate, the lower the average dispatch price per letter.
